For this project we erected an internal access birdcage within the entrance lobby of Centre Parcs in Woburn Forest. The scaffold was required to allow the existing mezzanine floor to be extended over the lobby area. The scaffold was fully erected “out of hours,” double boarded with polythene sheeting between, bridged beamed over access routes and supporting towers fully boxed and painted.
A birdcage scaffold is an independent scaffold consisting of more than two rows of standards in both directions connected by ledgers and transoms. It is mainly used for work carried out on a single level.
